This page is just a small snippet of what Queer Wandsworth has been working on so far.

Night Time Strategy - QW X Wandsworth Council
November 2022 - Battersea Art Centre
We have teamed up with Wandsworth Council to host a workshop as part of the development of a Night Time Strategy. We have used this session to develop a set of recommendations from an LGBTQ+ perspective. These will then be used to create inclusive policies and help the Council to understand how to better support the community at night.

Out at Clapham
Created by former chair David Robson
A monthly celebration of LGBT cinema produced in association with the Clapham Picturehouse.
Out At Clapham is the longest running LGBTQ+ Cinema club in South London.
The screenings tend to focus on new LGBTQ cinema releases often with Cast/Director Q&A’s. However, they are also known to air the odd classics from time to time especially at the annual midnight Halloween specials and during the Pride in London Festival.
Out At Clapham is much more than a trip to the cinema. It’s an opportunity to make new friends in the community.

50+ LGBT Coffee Morning
Created by former chair David Robson
The 50+ LGBT Coffee Morning is a weekly service ran by in co-production with the Furzedown Project.
The Project was started in 2017 with funding by Wandsworth CCG. Over the years it has been very well supported and funded by Wandsworth Oasis and most recently (following the COVID pandemic) they have been funded by the Wandsworth Council Community Grants Scheme.
Recently celebrating its 5th Birthday, the sessions take place every Thursday morning from 10-12 and welcomes anyone over the age of 50 (who defines as LGBTQ+) from all across London.
The group is a very relaxed, warm and friendly mix who have used the morning to meet other people with a shared experience of being LGBT.
